Sparkly silver wristband: Electron Festival @ various venues, Geneva, Switzerland

Last weekend, Morgan and I boarded an ever-so-classy classy easyJet flight to Geneva, where we spent five days eating fondue and Mövenpick, lounging on the shores of the lake (and laughing at the Jet d’Eau), abd raving it up at the eighth annual Electron Festival, which I was dispatched to cover by Resident Advisor. Read my write-up here!

A couple blog-only fun facts:

-When we arrived at our hotel, the gentleman behind the counter asked if we were Spoek Mathambo. No, no we were not. But I did finally meet Spoek in person!
-We also went to a drag cabaret called La Garconniere, which included renditions of a significant portion of the music from ‘Sister Act’. They were wearing full sequined nun’s habits, and didn’t really know English so kind of just moved their mouths a bunch.
-We met and befriended Glitterbug, who is insanely lovely and you should check out his music because it’s beautiful.

*Apparently, James Fazy was an important Genevan statesman. We just got loads of laughs out of his name.
