Glowstick wristband: The LipSinkers @ Bistrotheque
Last week, my parents were visiting from the states. We took them for a nice meal at Bistrotheque, followed by a drag cabaret downstairs. We were sat right at the front of the stage, and feared we’d be made fun of all night by trannies, but thankfully they looked kindly upon us. I knew the show was going to be good when, for their first number, they performed a ‘60s girl group-style cover of The Smiths’ “Panic”. Great banter abounded, they wore amazing outfits, and the hostesss John Sizzle (who apparently also hosts gay bingo ‘round these parts) took a liking to us after we supplied him with some prosecco. (Cheers to Morgan for the photo, which we’ve dubbed “Still Life With Disco Ball and Bunting”).
