Limb By Limb (Saturday, June 4, 2011) ‘BRILLIANT’ lightbulb stamp*: Cool Bwoy Fyah Bredren @ The Marquis of Lansdowne A couple weeks ago, a crew of very awesome dudes I know put on a party with a purpose: raise money for charity by invoking some SERIOUS Jamaican diaspora vibes (check out their awesome plan to drive an ambulance to Mongolia here). It all went down in the basement of a pub in Dalston. Everyone present was extremely up for it, and a sweaty beer-fueled mess of the best kind ensued. There were so many big tunes it was ridiculous, but I must say I enjoyed the mid-90s jungle parts the most. Cutty Ranks just does somethin’ to a person, y’know? To promote the night, the guys made these t-shirts (and believe I got one). I also definitely nicked a poster before leaving, which is happily hanging on my wall. *This is one of the best stamps I’ve seen in awhile.
